Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On March 3, Geely Auto's Galaxy brand officially put the all-new Galaxy E8 model onto the market, introducing four variants with prices ranging from 153,800 yuan to 202,800 yuan. For a limited time, early buyers can enjoy a discounted price range of 149,800 yuan to 198,800 yuan.

The refreshed Galaxy E8 continues Geely's "Ripple Aesthetic" design philosophy, featuring a seamlessly illuminated front fascia. Its closed-off grille integrates a matrix-style lighting element, complemented by sharp, split-style headlights for a striking visual impact. The lower grille is finished in black, while slim, illuminated light strips on both sides of the front bumper enhance its futuristic appeal.

A key highlight of the new vehicle is the inclusion of LiDAR device across all variants, paired with Geely's G-Pilot advanced intelligent driving system. This setup enables highway and elevated road NOA (Navigate on Autopilot), hands-free lane changes via stalk or voice commands, and automated parking assistance.

The side profile is sleek, adopting a fastback-style silhouette with flush door handles, large multi-spoke wheels, and newly added red brake calipers, emphasizing its sporty character.

At the rear, the elongated LED taillight bar features a prominent "GEELY" badge, while the layered rear bumper design adds depth and a distinctive identity.

Inside, the all-new Galaxy E8 embraces a minimalist approach, highlighted by an ultra-wide 45-inch 8K "Boundless Smart Screen". The active display area measures 1,130mm x 138mm, powered by Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 8295 flagship chipset and an advanced infotainment system. The vehicle supports Meizu's Flyme OS, three-finger task transfer, address synchronization from phone to car, and two-way satellite communication.

In terms of performance, the all-new Galaxy E8 is available in both rear-wheel-drive (RWD) and all-wheel-drive (AWD) configurations. The RWD version is built on a 400V architecture, delivering 250 kW of power and accelerating from 0-100 km/h in 5.49 seconds. It offers two range options: 575 km and 700 km, with fast charging from 30% to 80% of its battery capacity in just 8 minutes at a maximum 5.5C charging rate. The AWD variant, based on an 800V platform, produces 475 kW and achieves 0-100 km/h in 3.49 seconds, with a range of 620 km.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
