BYD launches new energy commercial vehicle models in UAE

On February 26, BYD, in collaboration with its partner Al-Futtaim, officially introduced its new energy commercial vehicle lineup in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On February 26, BYD, in collaboration with its partner Al-Futtaim, officially introduced its new energy commercial vehicle lineup in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), marking a significant step in supporting the country's transition toward green commercial transportation.

The launch features four fully electric commercial vehicles, including light- and medium-duty trucks and a pure electric bus, designed to cater to urban logistics, long-haul transport, and public mobility. All models are equipped with BYD's advanced Blade Battery technology, offering ultra-fast charging capabilities and extended range, delivering safe, intelligent, and eco-friendly solutions for commercial vehicle users in the UAE.

The newly launched models include:

 The ETM6 all-electric truck – A 3.6-tonne payload long-wheelbase urban logistics truck, powered by a 126 kWh battery for enhanced load capacity and driving range.

 The EV light-duty truck T5 – A 4-tonne payload model featuring a 132 kWh battery, designed for flexible urban delivery and efficient logistics.

• The EV medium-duty truck ETH8 – A 10-tonne payload truck equipped with a 255 kWh battery, meeting the demands of heavy-duty commercial operations.

 The B12 all-electric Bus – A 12-meter city bus with a 425 kWh battery and a range of up to 550 km, providing a zero-emission solution for public transportation.

Tian Chunlong, General Manager of BYD's Commercial Vehicle Division, emphasized the company's commitment to advancing global new energy transportation. He stated that BYD's entry into the UAE commercial vehicle market not only offers local businesses efficient and environmentally friendly transport solutions but also contributes to the country's green mobility ambitions.

BYD noted that this launch marks a key milestone in its expansion into the UAE's commercial vehicle sector, providing sustainable transport options for businesses and public transit operators. Moving forward, BYD plans to deepen its global new energy vehicle strategy, leveraging its cutting-edge technology and innovative products to drive the commercial vehicle industry toward a more sustainable future.
