GAC AION's AION UT BEV model hits market, starting at 69,800 yuan

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On February 28, GAC AION officially put the AION UT, a compact two-door pure electric hatchback, onto the market, introducing five variants priced between 69,800 yuan and 101,800 yuan.

As GAC AION's third globally-oriented strategic model, the AION UT targets the highly competitive sub-100,000-yuan market.

The AION UT boasts a sleek and futuristic design with a distinctive front fascia, featuring 19 high-power LED daytime running lights and a quad-matrix fog light setup that mirrors the taillight design, enhancing recognizability. The semi-hidden door handles and contrasting floating roof add to its modern new-energy vehicle aesthetic.

In terms of dimensions, the AION UT measures 4,270mm in length, 1,850mm in width, and 1,575mm in height, with a 2,750mm wheelbase, ensuring a spacious and comfortable interior.

The model comes in six exterior colors—Titian Red, Monet Purple, Emerald Green, Champs-Elysees Beige, Rococo White, and Seine Silver—catering to varied consumer preferences.

Inside, the rear seats offer 905mm of legroom and 1,330mm of hip space, ensuring long-haul comfort. The 440L trunk, featuring a three-layer design, maximizes practicality and can be expanded to 1,600L with the rear seats folded, making it ideal for daily errands or long-distance travel.

The interior design follows AION's signature aesthetic, featuring a dual-spoke multifunction steering wheel, a 14.6-inch floating touchscreen, and an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster, delivering a strong tech-centric feel. The infotainment system supports HiCar, CarLink, and CarPlay, and benefits from cloud-based AI for intelligent voice control. The AI voice assistant responds in just 500 milliseconds and enables multi-command control for navigation, seat adjustment, air conditioning, and defogging, significantly enhancing driving convenience.

Safety is a priority, with all trim levels equipped standard with reverse AEB (Automatic Emergency Braking) and misacceleration prevention when reversing, ensuring added security for drivers.

Under the hood, the AION UT features a 100kW high-efficiency Quark electric drive, enabling a top speed of 150 km/h, suitable for both city commutes and highway driving.

In terms of range, the model is powered by a 44.12kWh LFP "Magazine Battery 2.0", delivering up to 420km on the CLTC cycle—sufficient for daily commutes and short trips. Notably, its fast-charging capability allows 30% to 80% charge in just 24 minutes, providing quick and efficient energy replenishment.
