Beijing (Gasgoo)- On February 26, 2025, Dongfeng Honda saw its strategic all-electric SUV, the Dongfeng Honda S7, officially roll off the production line at its new energy vehicle factory in Wuhan. The model, featuring dual intelligent driving systems, will begin deliveries on March 6.

As a key product in Honda's electrification transformation in China, the S7 integrates Honda's self-developed Honda SENSING 360+ and Huawei's ADS 2.0 intelligent driving systems. The SUV utilizes a network of nine exterior cameras, five millimeter-wave radars, and twelve ultrasonic radars to provide full-range perception. Its design includes a signature Y-shaped daytime running light and H-shaped taillights, while offering a spacious 2,930mm wheelbase with exterior dimensions of 4,750/1,930/1,625mm.

Inside, the S7 boasts a 24-inch central touchscreen and a 21.9-inch AR-HUD, powered by the Honda CONNECT 4.0 system for natural voice interaction and seamless integration with mobile ecosystems.

The S7 is equipped with an 89.8kWh lithium-ion battery from CATL. The rear-wheel drive version delivers 200kW and a CLTC range of 650 km, while the all-wheel drive, dual-motor version produces 350kW (476 hp) and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.7 seconds. Its track-level handling performance is complemented by a double wishbone front suspension and a five-link rear suspension, achieving a 50:50 front-to-rear axle load ratio.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
