Beijing (Gasgoo)- The 2025 refreshed edition of the XPENG G6 SUV was officially unveiled recently, showcasing significant updates despite being an annual facelift, according to XPENG's WeChat post on Feb. 28.

The new G6 features 34% of its components replaced and 81 improvements to enhance the user experience. Both the exterior and interior have been redesigned, and the vehicle now incorporates the AI-powered Turing smart driving system. The show cars have begun arriving at XPENG stores, with an official market launch expected in early March.

One of the key updates is the upgraded lighting system, including a new LED daytime running light that spans the front of the car, offering a continuous, seamless design. The XPENG logo has been repositioned above the lights, and the vehicle now also features a blue indicator light for smart driving mode. The design still retains the integrated airflow grooves and headlights, with a blacked-out trapezoidal air intake at the front. The new G6 is available in six different body colors.

The side profile includes newly designed, blacked-out, petal-style wheels, paired with a sleek, sporty fastback shape. At the rear, the bumper has been adjusted, and a new ducktail spoiler has been added. The car's dimensions are 4,758mm in length, 1,920mm in width, 1,650mm in height, and a 2,890mm wheelbase.

Inside, the new G6 offers a new "Fuyao Green" color option, a refreshed capacitive steering wheel, and a 15.6-inch floating central screen. The cabin also features upgraded materials, a new atmospheric lighting system, and improved seat comfort with ventilation, heating, and massage functions.

The car is powered by an 800V platform with a 218kW drive motor and comes equipped with a 5C ultra-fast charging AI battery.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
