Eight Departments Initiate Second Batch of Public Vehicle Electrification Pilots in 10 Cities, Aiming to Boost PV ESS and Charging Technologies

[Promoting the Application of PV ESS and Charging Technologies! Eight Departments Launch the Second Batch of Public Vehicle Electrification Pilots in 10 Cities!] On February 25, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Transport, and six other departments launched the second batch of pilot zones for full electrification of public sector vehicles in 10 cities. According to the document, the 10 pilot cities include first-tier cities Tianjin, Changzhou, Wuxi, and Yibin, and second-tier cities Linyi, Huainan, Xi'an, Xianyang, Weinan, and Xiong'an. Many regions have proposed in their development plans to promote technologies such as "PV ESS and charging integration," vehicle-to-grid interaction, and orderly electricity usage. It is expected that from 2024 to 2026, more than 250,000 NEVs will be newly promoted, over 240,000 charging piles will be built, and 365 battery swapping stations will be established.
