On February 26, Tesla officially announced the start of deliveries for the refreshed Model Y in China.

Beijing (Gasgoo)- On February 26, Tesla officially announced the start of deliveries for the refreshed Model Y in China. The updated model is available in two variants: the rear-wheel-drive (RWD) launch edition, priced from 263,500 yuan, and the long-range all-wheel-drive (AWD) launch edition, starting at 303,500 yuan.

Tesla China first introduced the refreshed Model Y on January 10, with production commencing at the Gigafactory Shanghai on February 18.

The new Model Y adopts a more aerodynamic profile while retaining signature Tesla elements such as a panoramic glass roof, frameless doors, and flush door handles. Inside, it continues Tesla’s minimalist approach with a 15-inch squared display and an AMD Ryzen-powered infotainment system. Enhancements include wraparound ambient lighting, ventilated front seats, and rear seats extended by an additional 15mm, providing up to 2,130 liters of cargo space when folded.

In terms of safety and technology, the refreshed Model Y is equipped with Tesla's Autopilot hardware AI 4.0, featuring a front bumper blind-spot camera, door blind-spot warning lights, 16 speakers, eight cameras, and a robust body structure. It also comes standard with a far-side airbag for added protection.

The vehicle is available in RWD, long-range AWD, and performance versions, offering maximum power outputs of 220 kW, 331 kW, and 357 kW, respectively. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h is achieved in 5.9 seconds, 5 seconds, and 3.7 seconds, depending on the variant. Tesla claims the long-range AWD version boasts the longest range in Model Y history, reaching up to 719 km (CLTC estimate) with an energy consumption of just 11.9 kWh/100 km. A 15-minute charge can add approximately 250 km of range.
