The Zhongyu MW-Level Fuel Cell Power Station System Successfully Passed KESCO Certification

Published: Feb 25, 2025 11:25

Recently, the MW-class fuel cell power station system independently developed by Zhongyu successfully passed the rigorous testing of the Korea Electrical Safety Corporation (KESCO) and obtained official certification. This certification is based on the IEC 62282-3-100 standard issued by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), covering a total of 41 testing items. These items comprehensively address multiple dimensions such as product design, airtightness, electrical safety, IP protection rating, and performance, including but not limited to structural integrity, material compatibility, electrical performance stability, thermal management system efficiency, fuel processing safety, and hydrogen leakage detection and protection measures.

The KESCO certification serves as an important entry threshold in the field of electrical and electronic products in South Korea, playing a significant role in ensuring the quality reliability, environmental friendliness, and operational safety of electrical products or facilities used in the country. Meanwhile, the IEC 62282-3-100 standard is globally recognized as a safety specification for stationary fuel cell power systems, providing clear requirements for the safe design, installation processes, operational guidelines, maintenance, and decommissioning of fuel cell power systems.

The fuel cell power station system that passed the tests this time is derived from Zhongyu's independently developed G4 platform. This platform adopts an advanced modular design concept, allowing flexible expansion based on the needs of actual application scenarios, with a maximum system power exceeding 2.5 MW. With its remarkable advantages of high efficiency, high reliability, and long lifespan, combined with a skid-mounted design solution, the system enables rapid on-site deployment. It is widely applied in various fields such as wind and solar hydrogen-coupled power generation, peak shaving power stations, charging pile power supply, zero-carbon park construction, green factory operations, and zero-carbon data center energy supply.

Notably, Zhongyu's MW-class fuel cell power station products have not only obtained KESCO certification but have also passed testing and certification by authoritative third-party organizations both domestically and internationally, such as the China Automotive Engineering Research Institute Testing Center and TÜV Rheinland. This fully validates their outstanding product performance and quality standards. Currently, the system has been successfully applied in the State Grid Corporation of China's Cixi hydrogen-electric coupled DC microgrid demonstration project and related power generation projects in South Korea, earning widespread praise and high recognition from customers at home and abroad.
