The Nation's First Green Zero-Carbon Hydrogen Fuel Heavy Truck Line Opens, Fengyuan Hydrogen Energy Leads a New Chapter in the Industry

Recently, the "Zhengzhou Gongyi-Qingdao Port" 800-kilometer hydrogen fuel heavy truck green zero-carbon transportation route, jointly developed by Fengyuan Hydrogen Energy, logistics giant Yuanshang Co., complete vehicle manufacturer Deli Auto, and modification expert Xizhong, officially commenced operation. This marks a new stage in the commercialization of hydrogen-powered heavy trucks in China. As a top performer in domestic hydrogen fuel cell systems, Fengyuan Hydrogen Energy provided the core power source for these hydrogen-powered heavy trucks—the new generation FY06 platform hydrogen fuel cell system.

The hydrogen-powered heavy trucks now in operation are equipped with the FY06 platform system from Fengyuan Hydrogen Energy. With features such as high efficiency, long lifespan, low noise, and zero emissions, the system highlights the advanced nature of hydrogen energy technology and its environmental protection advantages. Notably, the system achieves 100% localisation of core fuel cell components, signifying that China's hydrogen-powered heavy truck fuel cell system technology has matured and the industry chain layout has become more complete.

As hydrogen energy applications in high-speed scenarios mature, hydrogen-powered heavy trucks demonstrate significant advantages over pure electric heavy trucks with the same power capacity. Specifically, the auto body of hydrogen-powered heavy trucks is approximately 20% lighter than that of pure electric heavy trucks. For long-distance heavy-load transportation, their procurement costs and per-unit energy usage costs are more economical. It is estimated that operational costs per kilometer can be reduced by about 15%-20%. This advantage not only significantly improves trunk transportation efficiency but also effectively reduces overall transportation costs, accelerating the transition of road transport vehicles from "energy efficiency dual controls" to "carbon dual controls."

Fengyuan Hydrogen Energy's product advantages are reflected in multiple aspects:

  • High-Performance Technical Indicators : Its power density, certified by national authorities, surpasses international counterparts, reaching over 1.5 kW/kg, placing it at the forefront globally.
  • Outstanding Low-Temperature Start-Up Capability : The fuel cell system can achieve auxiliary-free cold start in environments as low as -40°C, making it suitable for extreme climate conditions, especially in northern and cold regions.
  • Long Lifespan Design : The system is designed with a lifespan exceeding 20,000 hours, meeting the stringent durability requirements of long-distance commercial transportation and industrial-grade scenarios.

Fengyuan Hydrogen Energy also possesses fully independent core technologies, covering the entire industry chain:

  • Independent R&D of Key Materials : Including core components such as membrane electrodes, catalysts, and metal bipolar plates, breaking foreign technology barriers and achieving localisation substitution.
  • Technology Iteration and Flexible Design : The FY06 stack platform features flexible scalability, adaptable to various applications such as buses, heavy trucks, and distributed power generation.
  • Collaborative Innovation in Industry-Academia-Research : Leveraging technology transfer from Tsinghua University's Hydrogen Fuel Cell Laboratory, it undertakes key projects under the national "14th Five-Year Plan" by the Ministry of Science and Technology and participates in the formulation of multiple industry standards.

Fengyuan Hydrogen Energy's products have been widely applied across various scenarios and achieved large-scale commercial deployment:
