Under the guidance of the "Implementation Plan for Accelerating the Application of Clean and Low-Carbon Hydrogen in the Industrial Sector" jointly launched by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) and other departments, Qingling Motors Co., Ltd. (referred to as "Qingling Motors") is actively accelerating its layout in the hydrogen energy sector, aiming to enhance the core competitiveness of hydrogen-powered commercial vehicles. At the beginning of the new year, Qingling Motors successfully secured a large order for hydrogen-powered commercial vehicles in Hubei. The first batch of 49-mt hydrogen-powered heavy-duty trucks has been successfully delivered to Hubei, marking another significant breakthrough for Qingling Motors in the hydrogen-powered commercial vehicle market.

These hydrogen-powered heavy-duty trucks have gained market favour for their outstanding environmental protection and economic performance. The vehicles adopt advanced fuel cell technology, generating electricity through a chemical reaction between hydrogen and oxygen to drive the electric motor, with water as the only emission, truly achieving zero-pollution emissions. In terms of economic performance, the cost of hydrogen fuel is 30%-35% lower than diesel, while the maintenance cost of the vehicles is only 30% of that of traditional fuel vehicles. Additionally, the fuel cell system has a lifespan of over 10 years, significantly reducing long-term usage costs for users.

In addition to environmental protection and economic performance, these hydrogen-powered heavy-duty trucks also feature high levels of intelligence and safety. The vehicles are equipped with intelligent driving assistance systems, including ABS anti-lock braking systems, ESC electronic stability control systems, and lane departure warning functions, effectively improving driving safety and operational efficiency. Furthermore, the integration of vehicle networking functions, such as real-time monitoring and remote diagnostics, enhances vehicle management and maintenance efficiency. Notably, the fuel cell system has reached an industry-leading level and has passed the ASIL-B international functional safety certification, ensuring high safety performance for the vehicles.

These hydrogen-powered heavy-duty trucks also demonstrate broad applicability and excellent driving range. The vehicles have undergone rigorous testing, calibration, and validation in extreme environments such as high temperatures, severe cold, and high altitudes, ensuring product reliability and durability. With a driving range of up to 600 kilometers, they are well-suited for inter-provincial and inter-city transportation needs, such as the Chengdu-Chongqing Hydrogen Corridor and the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei trunk lines. Currently, these hydrogen-powered heavy-duty trucks are operating efficiently across 17 provinces and cities in over 40 industries nationwide, receiving unanimous praise from users.

Looking ahead, Qingling Motors is expected to continue strengthening technological innovation and market resource integration in the hydrogen-powered commercial vehicle sector, further expanding the scope of collaboration in the innovation and industry chains, and driving the continuous optimization and upgrading of hydrogen-powered commercial vehicles. Qingling Motors' 49-mt hydrogen-powered heavy-duty trucks, with their advanced hydrogen fuel cell technology, long driving range, and rapid refueling capabilities, have gained widespread recognition in the market and are set to continue contributing to the ecological development of the hydrogen energy industry.

According to the latest data from the Passenger Car Association, in December 2025, producers with new energy wholesale sales exceeding 10,000 units accounted for 93% of the total wholesale sales of passenger NEVs that month. Based on preliminary January data, these producers achieved sales of 830,000 units in January. As most producers have already locked in their major sales figures, by applying the structural proportion from the previous month to the current month's data, the estimated wholesale sales of passenger NEVs nationwide in January were 900,000 units. According to comprehensive preliminary monthly association data: the estimated wholesale sales of NEVs by national passenger car producers in January 2026 were 900,000 units, up 1% YoY.
