Recently, a grand event aimed at promoting the green transformation of hydrogen energy logistics in Henan Province—the signing ceremony for the Zhoukou Port Hydrogen Energy Logistics Green Corridor Construction Project—was held at the Yuzi Holdings Building on Financial Island in Zhengdong New District. This signing brought together four parties: Henan Automotive Industry Investment Group, Zhoukou Port Rong Investment Development Co., Ltd., Luoyang Transportation Group, and Qingyun (Henan) New Energy Technology Co., Ltd., to jointly sign a cooperation agreement, marking a new phase in the construction of the hydrogen energy logistics green corridor in Henan Province.
At the signing ceremony, key leaders from relevant departments such as the Zhoukou Port Logistics Development Center, Luoyang Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, and Jianxi District were all present, expressing firm support and deep expectations for the project. It is understood that Zhoukou Port, as the only port in Henan Province with access to the sea, has seen its cargo throughput continuously rise in recent years at an impressive growth rate, becoming a significant force in the construction of a national coal reserve base. With the accelerated green transformation of long-distance transportation capacity for upstream bulk commodities, the demand for hydrogen-powered transportation at Zhoukou Port has become increasingly prominent, and this cooperation project is an important response to that demand.
According to the plan, the project aims to build a green transportation system with a scale of 1,000 units, laying a solid foundation for the construction of a hydrogen energy green corridor across the province. The four cooperating parties will work together to promote the adoption and application of hydrogen energy logistics vehicles, enhancing the convenience, cost-effectiveness, and feasibility of hydrogen energy logistics through measures such as building hydrogen refueling stations and optimizing the operational network. Preliminary estimates suggest that the implementation of the project will effectively reduce carbon emissions and contribute to Henan Province's achievement of its "dual carbon" goals.
During the meeting, the parties also conducted in-depth discussions on the practical challenges of promoting hydrogen energy. Henan Automotive Industry Investment Group pointed out that the promotion of hydrogen energy requires the integration of multiple links, including cargo, transportation capacity, vehicles, hydrogen refueling stations, and operations, to form a complete industry chain loop. As a state-owned provincial platform, the group will fully leverage its advantages to continue serving as an organizer, driver, and service provider in the hydrogen energy field, ensuring the smooth implementation of the hydrogen energy logistics green corridor construction project.
This cooperation is not only an important demonstration of hydrogen-powered transportation at Zhoukou Port but also a significant milestone in the green transformation of hydrogen energy logistics in Henan Province. As the project progresses, hydrogen energy logistics will become a new engine for the green development of Henan Province's hub economy and corridor economy, injecting strong momentum into the development of the hydrogen energy industry across the province and even the entire country.
