Shanghai (Gasgoo)- PATEO, a leading Chinese V2X (vehicle-to-everything) company, has successfully deployed and optimized DeepSeek AI on the Qualcomm 8295 cockpit platform, marking a major advancement in in-vehicle AI integration, according to a press release the company issued on Feb. 20 via its WeChat account.

By reducing computing power consumption while enhancing user interaction, DeepSeek serves as a catalyst for next-generation intelligent cockpits. The adapted DeepSeek-R1 model, after distillation and compression, maintains high inference accuracy while significantly lowering computational resource demands. Leveraging the 5nm process and 30 TOPS computing power of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 chip, PATEO's software-hardware optimization enables high-efficiency AI operations directly within the vehicle.

This "low-cost, high-efficiency" AI revolution is expanding the possibilities of automotive intelligence. While traditional intelligent cockpits rely heavily on cloud computing, PATEO's on-device deployment enhances response speed and system reliability, ensuring seamless AI operation even in extreme conditions. Whether it's checking road conditions, planning routes, or adjusting in-cabin settings, the system operates efficiently, enabling instant AI services and broader cockpit applications.

PATEO is also advancing its AI Agent platform, leveraging DeepSeek's industry knowledge augmentation and personalized reasoning capabilities. The platform will enable more precise user intent recognition, delivering accurate responses to both complex commands and casual conversations. Additionally, with chain-of-thought reasoning, the system will provide deeper insights and enhanced decision-making, offering users more intelligent and contextualized services.

Founded in 2009, PATEO is a leading end-to-end provider of intelligent cockpit and connected vehicle solutions, covering hardware, software, cloud services, and operations. With a strong industry presence, the company has become a key driver of automotive intelligence.

Since its inception, PATEO has prioritized R&D, amassing over 5,700 patent applications, with invention patents accounting for more than 80%.

Currently, PATEO is developing a domain control platform for cockpit-parking integration, based on the Qualcomm SA8295P. By fully utilizing SA8295P's AI capabilities, this platform enables efficient deployment of optimized AI models, significantly enhancing parking intelligence and response speed. It will allow precise recognition and automated handling of complex parking scenarios, further advancing smart mobility solutions.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
