BYD's SEALION 7 all-electric SUV hits Indonesian market at IIMS 2025

On February 13, 2025, BYD is making a strong statement at the Indonesia International Motor Show 2025 (IIMS 2025), presenting both its BYD and DENZA brands in a 1,598-square-meter exhibition space.

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On February 13, 2025, BYD is making a strong statement at the Indonesia International Motor Show 2025 (IIMS 2025), presenting both its BYD and DENZA brands in a 1,598-square-meter exhibition space.

At the event, BYD launched the all-electric SUV BYD SEALION 7, underscoring its commitment to the Indonesian market. Additionally, its premium brand DENZA made its debut at the IIMS with the DENZA D9 model.

The BYD SEALION 7 comes in two variants: the Luxury edition priced at IDR 629 million (approximately RMB 280,000) and the Performance edition priced at IDR 719 million (approximately RMB 320,000). The model also features an exclusive Shark Grey color option.

We recognize that Indonesian SUV buyers not only demand powerful performance but also prioritize comfort, cutting-edge technology, and energy efficiency. The BYD SEALION 7 is designed to cater to these expectations, providing an ideal choice for electric vehicle (EV) buyers seeking an upgraded experience in design, functionality, technology, and overall driving performance. With this model, we aim to drive Indonesia's transition to sustainable mobility,” said Sun Zhonghao, BYD Indonesia's Operations Director.

In 2024, BYD achieved remarkable success in Indonesia's EV market. Since launching sales in Indonesia in June 2024, BYD has quickly gained consumer trust, securing 36% of the local EV market within just seven months and surpassing 15,000 units in cumulative sales.

Looking ahead, BYD plans to expand its service network in the first quarter of 2025, opening new outlets in Jakarta's Pasar Minggu, Bogor, Bekasi, and Palembang, bringing the total to 40 locations. By the end of 2025, BYD aims to establish 80 service outlets across Indonesia, further enhancing its customer experience and support network.
