Recent Transactions of Standard Silicon Have Been Weak [SMM Daily Silicon Review]

SMM, February 18: Silicon metal prices in east China remained stable. Standard #553 silicon was priced at 10,600-10,700 yuan/mt, above-standard #553 silicon at 10,800-10,900 yuan/mt, and #421 silicon at 11,500-11,700 yuan/mt. The silicon metal market prices remained stable today; however, the inquiry and procurement activity varied among different grades. Standard silicon producers reported a relatively sluggish inquiry and procurement activity recently. Due to the stalemate in factory quotations, market demand for standard silicon was weaker compared to above-standard products. A small number of standard silicon producers even reported no new orders for a long time.
