Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Shenzhen Skyworth Automotive Intelligence Co., Ltd. (called "Skyworth Automotive Intelligence" for short), a subsidiary of Skyworth Digital, has passed Volkswagen's Automotive Software Process Improvement and Capacity Determination (ASPICE) audit, according to a post Skyworth Digital issued on February 17 via its WeChat account. This milestone signifies the company's entry into the global mainstream automotive supply chain.

ASPICE is an evaluation and certification framework for software development processes in the automotive industry. Many automakers, including Volkswagen, require suppliers to achieve specific ASPICE scores to ensure compliance with performance, safety, and quality standards. Skyworth Automotive Intelligence’s successful audit underscores its ability to meet these requirements, solidifying its position in the global supply chain.

Founded in 2005, Skyworth Automotive Intelligence focuses on the development of both hardware and software for electronics products and components in the automotive intelligence sector. The company also involves the production and operation of automotive electronics products such as in-car liquid crystal displays and DVD systems. Covering technological R&D and product manufacturing, the company provides comprehensive technical support and solutions for development of vehicle intelligence.

Skyworth Automotive Intelligence is the supporting entity of the Guangdong Engineering Research Center for In-Vehicle Intelligent Display Assemblies and has established the Shenzhen Skyworth Automotive Ultra-HD Display Pilot Test Base. As an industry-leading provider of modular solutions, the company leverages its strengths in R&D, supply chain management, and intelligent manufacturing to deliver in-car human-machine interface (HMI) display systems, digital intelligent instrument clusters, domain controllers, and integrated automotive solutions.

In May 2024, Skyworth Automotive Intelligence secured a contract to supply the dual-screen system for passenger vehicles under SAIC Motor's MG brand.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
