On February 18, global automotive seating supplier Adient announced the completion of the expansion of its China Technical Center in Chongqing.

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On February 18, global automotive seating supplier Adient announced the completion of the expansion of its China Technical Center in Chongqing.

The expansion marks a key step in Adient's ongoing investment in the Chinese market and its commitment to enhancing local R&D capabilities. The upgraded facility now includes such facilities as a sled test lab and a six-axis test lab, significantly boosting Adient's engineering design, testing, and product development capabilities in China. It also provides a highly collaborative, flexible, and digitalized innovation platform for Adient's local engineering teams, enabling the company to deliver cutting-edge seating solutions tailored to local market trends while supporting both Chinese and global automakers.

Jerome Dorlack, President and CEO of Adient, emphasized the strategic importance of China, stating, "As the world's largest automotive market, China is a key growth engine for Adient's global business.
