Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On February 17, the Shenzhen Administration for Market Regulation, in collaboration with the Development and Reform Commission of Shenzhen Municipality, jointly released the "Guidelines for the Construction of Shenzhen's Electric Vehicle (EV) Supercharging Facility Standard System," marking the establishment of China's first guidelines for the construction of EV supercharging facilities standard system.
The guidelines aim to leverage the standard system in the field of EV supercharging as a foundational and guiding framework for the high-quality development of supercharging infrastructure in the city. They cover various aspects of EV supercharging facilities, including planning, construction, and operation, providing comprehensive guidance for the standardized construction of these facilities.
Considering the current development status and future trends of Shenzhen's EV supercharging facilities, the guidelines show that the standard framework can be divided into six main aspects such as basic standards, equipment systems, and station construction. The framework encompasses standards for 19 specialized fields, including terminology definitions, supercharging equipment, and supercharging systems, offering scientific guidance for the standardization of Shenzhen's supercharging infrastructure.
As of January 25, 2025, Shenzhen has built 1,030 supercharging stations and deployed 420,000 charging piles cumulatively.
In addition to the standard system for EV supercharging facilities, Shenzhen has been striving to become a global innovation hub for autonomous driving in 2024. In terms of infrastructure, the city made full use of existing front-end perception devices and multifunctional poles to support the lightweight deployment of vehicle-road coordination systems, video surveillance, radars, BeiDou navigation systems, and other sensoring facilities.
As for terminal integration, Shenzhen has focused on equipping new buses with V2X devices, leveraging the capabilities of automakers such as BYD to validate and promote pre-installed mass production solutions.
