Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On February 14, Lotus Cars officially put two new refreshed luxury sports vehicle models, the new ELETRE (named "Xiahua" in Chinese Pinyin) and the new EMEYA (named "Fanhua" in Chinese Pinyin), onto the Chinese market.

The new ELETRE, a high-performance luxury SUV, comes with six variants, starting at 548,000 yuan. The top-spec model is priced at 1.018 million yuan. The SUV retains Lotus' signature design elements while incorporating modern styling, delivering a balance of sportiness and luxury.

Joining the launch is the new EMEYA, a luxury sports sedan starting at 528,000 yuan. It also comes in six variants, with the highest price reaching 1.008 million yuan.

To celebrate its 77th anniversary, Lotus Cars has unveiled a limited-edition series based on the ELETRE and EMEYA, with only 398 units available. Each vehicle features a commemorative nameplate on the B-pillar and door sills, engraved with classic Lotus models from the brand's history. Prices for the limited-edition models range from 588,000 yuan to 608,000 yuan.

Beyond the new vehicle launches, Lotus Cars showcased its latest advancements in intelligence technology. Both the new ELETRE and new EMEYA come equipped with the "Doubao" AI assistant, offering enhanced user convenience and personalization. The AI system enables voice control for in-car functions, weather updates, navigation, and more.

Lotus Cars has also made progress in autonomous driving technology. By the end of February this year, the new models are set to receive an over-the-air update introducing urban navigation assistance for 16 cities, further advancing their automated driving capabilities.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
