Steel Shipment Volume Nationwide Increased by 23% Last Week

Last week (2025.2.8-2025.2.14) The total steel shipment volume from ports nationwide, according to SMM, was 584.38 mt, up 1.0879 million mt MoM, an increase of 23%. Among them, the total shipment volume from the six major northern ports (Jingtang Port, Caofeidian Port, Bayuquan Port, Tianjin Xingang Port, Huanghua Port, and Jinzhou Port) was 2.6963 million mt, up 713,700 mt MoM, accounting for 46% of the total shipment volume. The total shipment volume from the three major ports in east China (Shanghai Port, Zhangjiagang Port, and Lanbei Port) was 40.12 mt, down 90,800 mt MoM, accounting for 7% of the total shipment volume. The total shipment volume from the two major ports in south China (Zhanjiang Port and Fangchenggang) was 352,000 mt, down 78,800 mt MoM, accounting for 6% of the total shipment volume.
