Beijing (Gasgoo)- On February 13, Zhejiang Tenchen Controls Co., Ltd. (Tenchen Controls) announced that its subsidiary, Guangdong Tenchen Automotive Seats Co., Ltd., has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Guangdong GOVY Technology Co., Ltd. (GOVY).
The two companies will leverage their respective strengths to engage in long-term collaboration focused on the R&D and mass production of components and materials for electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft. This partnership aims to advance product technology, certification for airworthiness, and mass production efforts.
Founded in 1984, Tenchen Controls specializes in vehicle seat R&D, production, sales, and services. GOVY, a subsidiary of GAC Group, unveiled its composite-wing flying car, the GOVY AirJet, in December 2024 under its new GOVY brand.
Key areas of this collaboration include the design, development, and manufacturing of eVTOL components such as aviation seats, interior parts, smart cockpits, and fuselage structures. They will also jointly explore the technological development of new materials like carbon fiber and aluminum alloys for eVTOL applications, while working together on airworthiness certification and mass production. Further agreements will be signed for specific divisions of labor.
