Baidu's Apollo smart cockpit large model and mobility agent have now integrated with DeepSeek, further enhancing their capabilities through the deep fusion of Baidu's ERNIE and DeepSeek's AI models.

Beijing (Gasgoo)- Baidu's Apollo smart cockpit large model and mobility agent have now integrated with DeepSeek, further enhancing their capabilities through the deep fusion of Baidu's ERNIE and DeepSeek's AI models, according to Baidu's announcement on Feb. 13.

This combination creates a next-generation intelligent mobility hub, offering more professional, convenient, and efficient mobility experiences by improving complex information processing, deep user understanding, and decision-making execution.

The Apollo smart cockpit model leverages visual, vehicle, environmental, weather, and user preference data to provide personalized interactions as soon as the user enters the vehicle. It can generate customized greetings, recommend preferred music, and automatically adjust settings such as air conditioning, seating, ambient lighting, and driving modes. Additionally, with real-time internet access, it can accurately respond to time-sensitive needs and offer creative features like AI-powered painting and casual conversation, delivering a highly interactive in-car assistant experience.

With the combined capabilities of ERNIE and DeepSeek, Baidu's intelligent mobility agent further enhances its ability to understand users' deeper travel needs and provide intelligent, comprehensive, and human-centric services at every stage of the journey.

Leveraging its strong mass production capabilities, Baidu Apollo has successfully integrated the ERNIE large model into mass-produced models such as the Cadillac LYRIQ, Buick GL8 ES PHEV, and Geely Galaxy L6 in 2024. The enhanced Apollo smart cockpit model, powered by DeepSeek, will soon be deployed in new models from Cadillac and Buick.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
