On February 10, BYD held its intelligence strategy launch event, where the God's Eye C advanced intelligence driving system was unveiled.

Shanghai (Gagsoo)- On February 10, BYD held its intelligence strategy launch event, where the God's Eye C advanced intelligence driving system was unveiled. This launch also marks the global in-car debut of the Journey® 6 series, Horizon Robotics' next-generation in-vehicle computing solution.

With BYD vehicles equipped with God's Eye C system now reaching customers, the Journey 6 series has officially entered large-scale mass production in February. The first batch will include 21 BYD models, which feature such functions as highway and urban expressway navigate of autopilot (NOA) and intelligent parking, bringing advanced driver-assistance technology to a wider audience.

According to Horizon Robotics, the Journey 6 series offers flexible configurations tailored to various smart driving scenarios, balancing performance and cost-effectiveness. The flagship Journey 6P has recently completed its tape-out process, with chip samples expected in the first quarter and full-scale production set for the third quarter this year under Horizon Robotics' SuperDrive intelligent driving solution.

Looking ahead, the Journey 6 series will continue to power BYD's God's Eye system and be integrated into more new BYD models, accelerating mass production and full-scenario deployment of high-level intelligent driving.

To date, Horizon Robotics' Journey series computing platform has supported millions of BYD vehicles. With the launch of God’s Eye C, the full four-generation Journey computing solution family will see its first large-scale mass production rollout in BYD models.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
