According to SMM statistics, the aluminum billet inventory in major domestic consumption areas reached 300,400 mt, an increase of 5,900 mt compared to Monday. Around the Lantern Festival, downstream post-holiday resumption of work proceeded in an orderly manner, and the inventory buildup, especially in east China, showed signs of slowing. However, spot aluminum prices continued to retreat from high levels today. Although transactions slightly improved, there were more sellers in the market, and sentiment was weak, making it difficult to stand firm on quotes.
