Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On February 10, BYD put the BYD Yuan UP model's Smart Driving edition onto the market at its intelligence strategy launch event.

The Yuan UP Smart Driving edition offers three variants, with prices ranging from 99,800 yuan to 119,800 yuan.

The exterior of the model adopts BYD's "LOONG FACE" aesthetics design language, characterized by a closed-off grille design and smoked headlights, coupled with a floating and bright-colored roof. The hood has raised lines on both sides, adding a sporty appeal to its overall design.

From the side, the Yuan UP Smart Driving edition features a relatively flat roof, complemented by a roof rack and shark fin antenna that creates the appearance of a floating roof. The vehicle body features a continuous waistline, with recessed door handles. The wheel arches and side skirts are accented with raised black trim, emphasizing a sense of power. The wheels sport a simple five-spoke design.

At the rear, the Yuan UP Smart Driving edition is equipped with a small-sized spoiler, high-mounted brake light, and smoked full-width taillights. The lower bumper area is fitted with a striking black trim and a silver-gray anti-scrape panel.

Measuring 4,310 mm in length, 1,830 mm in width, and 1,675 mm in height with a wheelbase of 2,620 mm, the vehicle is positioned as a compact SUV.

Inside, the model features a three-spoke multi-function steering wheel, a fully liquid crystal instrument panel, a floating central control screen, and a crystal-style electronic gear shifter. There is also a large storage compartment in front of the gear lever, with wireless phone charging capabilities.

A standout feature of the Yuan UP Smart Driving edition is the God's Eye C (DiPilot 100) smart driving system. This system consists of five millimeter-wave radars, 12 cameras, and 12 ultrasonic radars, supporting HD map-free highway and urban expressway navigate on autopilot (HNOA). It comes standard with an automated valet parking (AVP) function across its entire lineup, supporting over 300 parking scenarios.

Power-wise, the Yuan UP Smart Driving edition offers two electric motor options: 70 kW and 130 kW, with peak torques of 180 Nm and 290 Nm, respectively. Equipped with the CTB (Cell-to-Body) integrated battery technology, the model offers two range versions: 301 km and 401 km.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
