Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On February 12, Geely Auto officially put the Galaxy L6 EM-i model onto the market, introducing five variants with a limited-time introductory price range of 79,800 yuan to 106,800 yuan.

Positioned as a compact sedan, the new vehicle features Geely's latest EM-i plug-in hybrid electric system, along with refined design details and improved fuel efficiency.

Exterior-wise, the Galaxy L6 EM-i remains largely unchanged from its predecessor, except for the adoption of traditional door handles. The front features a closed-off grille design, LED headlights, and a full-width daytime running light strip.

At the rear, a full-width taillight design and a large lower diffuser enhance its visual appeal.

The car measures 4,782 mm in length, 1,875 mm in width, and 1,489 mm in height, with a 2,752 mm wheelbase.

Inside, the Galaxy L6 EM-i adopts a wraparound cockpit layout, with updates to the center console and upgraded materials for a more premium feel. A 14.6-inch floating touchscreen with the Flyme Auto infotainment system serves as the standout feature of the interior.

In terms of additional functions, the model offers 50W wireless phone charging, dual-zone intelligent automatic climate control, remote operation via a mobile app, dual-zone intelligent voice interaction, and Level 2 driver assistance capabilities.

Powering the Galaxy L6 EM-i is Geely's NordThor EM-i hybrid system, which comprises a 1.5L naturally aspirated engine (82 kW) and an electric motor. The removal of a turbocharger enhances fuel efficiency. The model comes with two battery-powered range options—60 km and 140 km. When the battery is almost depleted, the car's fuel consumption is 3.8 L/100 km or 3.95 L/100 km, respectively. Its combined range reaches up to 1,300 km.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
