Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On February 10, IM Motors, the premium electic vehicle maker under SAIC Motor, Alibaba Group, and Zhangjiang High-Tech, announced the deep integration of the DeepSeek AI large model into its smart cockpit system, alongside collaborations with other AI models like Doubao and Tongyi Qianwen (Qwen).

The in-depth integration has boosted cloud-based decision-making efficiency and upgraded the vehicle’s perception capabilities through innovative technologies such as multi-modal interaction and emotional mapping engines. Due to this joint training, IM Motors has built a multi-scenario AI matrix platform, therefore providing users with a smart, personalized, and convenient travel experience.

IM Motors is committed to leveraging large model technologies to create a multi-modal AI-powered cockpit. The automaker has made strides in cockpit interactive content generation, environmental perception, and dynamic mobility details in various scenarios.

Regarding the intelligent driving sector, IM Motors has already implemented the HD map-free NOA (Navigation on Autopilot) technology, which is now available across China. Additionally, the automaker has launched a public test for an "end-to-end" large model based on its vehicle models featuring the Level 2++ advanced driver assistance capabilities. The company plans to complete the deployment of the "end-to-end" large model solution, and achieve road tests and demonstration applications of Level 4 intelligent taxis this year.

As the DeepSeek trend sweeps automotive industries, multiple automakers, including Geely, Dongfeng Motor, Leapmotor, Baojun, and ZEEKR, have announced integration with the DeepSeek AI large model. For instance, on February 6, Geely announced the deep integration of its self-developed Xingrui AI model with the DeepSeek R1 model. On February 7, ZEEKR revealed the deep integration of its self-developed Kr AI model with the DeepSeek R1 model, with plans to launch the AI-powered smart cockpit assistant, AI EVA.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
