Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Shanghai Tinychip Limited (Tinychip), a leading mixed-signal automotive-grade chip manufacturer in China, recently announced the completion of a strategic financing round with tens of millions of yuan raised, according to a post the company issued on February 10 via its WeChat account.

The fresh round was led by Jiangsu Riying Electronics Co., Ltd. and Jiaxing Hongmao Venture Capital Partnership (Limited Partnership) ("Jiaxing Hongmao" in Chinese Pinyin).

The funds will be used to accelerate the R&D of Tinychip's mixed-signal automotive-grade system-on-chips (SoC) for various smart vehicle applications, establishing the company as an integrated platform for specialized automotive-grade chips.

Founded in 2019, Tinychip focuses on R&D and production of automotive-grade and industrial dedicated chips. The company has taped out over ten chip products, with mass production in such areas as automotive-grade touch control, ambient lighting, electric motor drive, signal chain component, and battery management system.

In the electric motor actuator sector, Tinychip has launched an integrated micro-motor drive control chip, which has been applied in multiple projects. Its ambient lighting driver chips have seen cumulative shipments exceeding 10 million units. In the touch chip sector, Tinychip’s products integrate capacitive touch and pressure-sensing dual-mode detection technologies, offering leading automotive-grade intelligent button and smart surface solutions.

The company's chips and relevant products have been integrated into vehicles from major automakers, including Volkswagen, Geely, Chery, General Motors, Leapmotor, Lynk & Co, ZEEKR, BAIC Group, Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance, Ford, Dongfeng Motor, GAC Group, FAW Group, NIO, and Changan Automobile.

Tinychip has so far raised over 400 million yuan across multiple funding rounds, with investments from various industrial capital and resource platforms, including SummitView Capital and Keboda. These partnerships enabled the company to streamline supply chain integration and accelerate market expansion.
