Beijing (Gasgoo)- Chinese intelligent driving solution developer MINIEYE has initiated the integration of the DeepSeek-R1 large model to develop its next-generation smart cockpit solution, according to the company's recent announcement. The move aims to enhance in-cabin multimodal perception and redefine the human-vehicle interaction paradigm.

As a provider of intelligent driving and smart cockpit solutions, MINIEYE is committed to promote smart vehicles while enhancing both safety and the driving experience. The company's strategic focus spans three core business areas: intelligent driving, smart cockpit systems, and C-V2X. Its smart cockpit solutions cover six key scenarios, including driver fatigue detection, safety takeover, vital sign monitoring, driver registration, passenger care, and interactive entertainment.

MINIEYE stated that the integration of DeepSeek-R1 will enable the distillation and training of its proprietary model algorithms. With improved semantic understanding and multimodal interaction capabilities, the new smart cockpit system is expected to better interpret user intentions, adapt to user habits, and shift from reactive responses to proactive intelligence. Future enhancements in human-vehicle interaction, personalized services, content generation, and vehicle management are anticipated to further elevate the in-cabin experience.

Notably, MINIEYE has achieved several breakthroughs in the smart cockpit area, being among the first to assist automakers in securing EU safety certifications and attaining a five-star E-NCAP rating. These advancements underscore MINIEYE's commitment to driving innovation and safety in the automotive industry.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
