On February 9, Geely Auto Group announced that Geely Galaxy, a new energy vehicle (NEV) range under Geely Auto, will introduce five NEV models this year, along with two models featuring the next-gener...

Mr. Gan also stated that Geely Galaxy aims to reach 1 million vehicles in annual sales this year.

Methanol is globally recognized as a clean, renewable energy source and is seen as a key solution for transitioning beyond the oil and gas era. Geely's new "Super Methanol Hybrid" technology enables flexible blending of methanol and gasoline in a single fuel tank. Featuring the innovative methanol engine with ultra-low-temperature cold start technology, the system overcomes the challenge of methanol ignition in temperatures as low as -40°C. The engine achieves a high thermal efficiency of 48.15%, offering users a cost-effective and convenient refueling experience while enhancing vehicle performance, particularly in cold environments.

Geely's methanol-hydrogen hybrid vehicles have already demonstrated their capabilities. At the 9th Asian Winter Games held in Harbin, a fleet of 350 Geely methanol-hydrogen hybrid vehicles provided safe and low-carbon mobility solutions, marking the first large-scale use of methanol-powered vehicles at an international sporting event and highlighting their environmental and performance advantages.

2025 is set to be a major product year for Geely Galaxy, with its five upcoming fire new models comprising two SUVs and three sedans. Geely Galaxy will also continue advancements in platform technology, AI-driven smart vehicles, and intelligent driving, accelerating the deployment of end-to-end voice AI models, AI digital chassis, and advanced autonomous driving technologies.

In early March, Geely plans to launch a significant AI intelligence strategy, further strengthening its presence in the smart vehicle sector.

This year has started strong for Geely Galaxy, with its January sales reaching 93,545 vehicles—a spike of over 134% year-on-year and 35% month-on-month—setting a new monthly sales record.
