Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On February 7, Fuyao Group, a large multinational company specializing in manufacturing automobile safety glass and industrial technical glass, signed an agreement with the government of Anting town to establish an automotive trim project in Jiading district, Shanghai city, according to a post on the company's WeChat account. This move marks a significant step in the company's strategic expansion in the automotive aluminum trim sector.

Mr. Ye Shu, President of Fuyao Group, stated that Fuyao and Jiading town have developed a strong partnership in recent years, working together for mutual progress. As a leader in the automotive glass industry, Fuyao Group will leverage this trim project to accelerate its smart manufacturing initiatives, enhance innovation capabilities, and increase the technological sophistication of its products. Additionally, the company aims to play a key role as a leading enterprise in the supply chain, accelerating the development of both upstream and downstream industrial chains, investing more in product R&D, and driving product upgrades and iterations to foster win-win collaboration with the district.

The project, located in the Jiading Automotive Industry Park, will establish a production line integrating multiple surface treatment processes, including painting, powder coating, anodizing, and ACX. With a planned investment of nearly 700 million yuan, the project is expected to start production in 2026. Upon full operation, the project will generate an annual output of 21 million units of high-precision aluminum alloy trim components and create around 1,200 jobs.

According to the plan, Fuyao Group will invest substantial resources in technological innovation, constructing highly automated production lines and incorporating multiple self-developed automated devices. The company will also establish a dedicated R&D laboratory, introducing advanced experimental equipment and top-tier talent from global markets to ensure efficient progress in technology R&D. Additionally, the company aims to foster collaboration across the industrial chain, working with research institutions and universities to facilitate the transformation and application of technological achievements.
