Shanghai (Gasgoo)- January 2025 marked a strong start for Zhejiang Geely Holding Group ("Geely Holding"), with total sales reaching 330,782 vehicles—a 14.8% year-on-year increase, according to a post on Geely Holding's WeChat account.

Notably, Geely Holding's new energy vehicle (NEV) sales in January amounted to 152,315 units, surging 59.5% from the previous year, resulting in an NEV penetration rate of 46%. These figures underscore the pivotal role NEVs now play in driving the group's overall sales growth.

Geely Automobile Holdings Limited reported total sales of 266,737 vehicles in January—a roughly 25% increase compared to last year. Within those, NEV sales soared around 84% year on year to 121,071 units, while exports volume reached 26,793 units, marking an increase of over 2% over a year earlier.

Performance of each brand also shined in the month: the Geely brand achieved sales of 224,718 units, up by more than 30%, while its new energy vehicle range, Geely Galaxy, excelled with 93,545 units sold—an impressive spike of over 134% year-on-year. Lynk & Co recorded sales of 30,077 units, a 7% year-on-year increase, with NEVs accounting for approximately 52% of its volume. Additionally, ZEEKR delivered 11,942 units in January, pushing its global cumulative deliveries past 430,000 units.

Additionally, Volvo Cars reported global January sales of 50,820 vehicles, including 22,398 NEVs—a year-on-year increase of about 17%—highlighting significant progress in its electrification transformation.
