Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Baojun, an automobile brand under SAIC-GM-Wuling, announced on Feb. 8 that its Lingyu Smart Cabin ("Lingyu" is Chinese Pinyin) has been deeply integrated with the DeepSeek AI large model, making it one of the first brands to apply this cutting-edge AI technology to mass-produced vehicles. The Baojun Xiangjing will be its inaugural model to feature this integration in a real-world application.
According to Baojun, the Xiangjing employs a "1+N" collaborative intelligent agent architecture that prioritizes the reliability of its central large model. This innovative dual-mode deployment—integrating both DeepSeek and the central model—enables intelligent task scheduling, providing quick responses to simple queries and precise answers to complex issues, thereby transforming AI into a true intelligent travel companion.
Experience user recruitment for the Baojun Xiangjing has already begun in Chongqing, Wenzhou, Tianjin, and Nanning cities. Interested customers can contact their local dealers to sign up for a firsthand experience of the DeepSeek-enabled Lingyu Smart Cabin. In the near future, other models such as the Baojun Yunhai and Baojun Yep Plus will receive over-the-air updates to offer enhanced voice interaction, intelligent recommendations, and contextual services.
The Baojun Xiangjing, the brand's first flagship model, made its debut on December 26, 2024. Positioned as a "smart ultra-comfort flagship sedan" aimed at the mid-to-high-end market, the Xiangjing is designed to meet the diverse needs of urban elites and young progressive families seeking high-quality, intelligent mobility, said the carmaker. The new vehicle will be available with both BEV (battery electric vehicle) and PHEV (plug-in hybrid electric vehicle) powertrain options, featuring overall dimensions of 5,005 mm in length, 1,900 mm in width, and a height of 1,490 mm (EV) or 1,505 mm (PHEV), with a 2,900 mm wheelbase.
