Qinghai Province to Accelerate Construction of Lithium Chemical Projects and Other Key Initiatives

[Qinghai Province: Accelerating the Construction of Salt Lake Co.'s 40,000 mt Basic Lithium Chemicals and Huixin's 20,000 mt Lithium Carbonate Projects]

The General Office of the People's Government of Qinghai Province issued the "Several Measures for a 'Good Start' in Q1 2025 in Qinghai Province." It proposed promoting the stable, full-capacity production and commissioning of key projects. The minimum production plan for potash fertilizer in 2025 is expected to be implemented, ensuring an annual production of over 7 million mt. Support will be provided for the orderly release of crude steel capacity by Xigang to achieve stable production and increased output. Efforts will be made to expedite the capacity replacement of Chalco Qinghai Branch's 600kA electrolytic cells, the intelligent manufacturing of 40,000 titanium alloy extrusion die forgings by Zhongtai Qingduan, and the technical transformation of 500 mt of traditional Chinese medicine formula granules by Sinopharm Plant Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., to reach full production as soon as possible. The commissioning of projects such as Haidong Hongshi's 100,000 mt polysilicon, Dongyao Zhixian's new-type display modules, Nanbo Risheng's 100,000 mt polysilicon, and Leidibao's 20 GW monocrystalline pulling rods will be accelerated. The construction of projects such as Salt Lake Co.'s 40,000 mt basic lithium chemicals and Huixin's 20,000 mt lithium carbonate will also be expedited.
