Beijing (Gasgoo)- On February 7, Dongfeng Motor's premium new energy vehicle brand VOYAH announced that it has successfully completed deep integration with the DeepSeek AI model, indicating that its COURAGE SUV model will be the industry's first mass-produced vehicle to incorporate this advanced technology.

The new VOYAH DREAM MPV will also be equipped with DeepSeek's capability. Previously, VOYAH has completed the deployment of the entire DeepSeek series model in its smart cockpit systems.

VOYAH's AI platform will continuously integrate with the DeepSeek R1 large model via the cloud, enhancing voice interaction and scenario recommendations to deliver a more precise, intelligent, and flexible user experience.

Starting February 14, COURAGE users can update their systems via OTA to experience the enhanced AI cockpit, with additional DeepSeek features set to roll out gradually. The automaker expects the integration to position VOYAH's smart cockpit experience on the top of the market.

Earlier, on February 6, Geely also announced that its self-developed Xingrui large AI model has been deeply integrated with DeepSeek. Collaborating with the DeepSeek R1 model, Geely plans to perform distilled training on its Xingrui vehicle control FunctionCall model and other active interaction models on the vehicle side. This advancement will enable Geely's intelligent automotive AI to accurately interpret vague user commands, precisely control approximately 2,000 onboard interfaces, and proactively analyze potential user needs from both internal and external environments, significantly enhancing the overall smart interaction experience.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
