Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On February 6, BYD announced that it will hold a launch event regarding its development strategy in the intelligence field at 19:30 on February 10 at its headquarters in Shenzhen city, where the company will showcase its advanced intelligent driving system, "Gods’s Eye." The event aims to lower the barriers to adopting smart driving through technological innovation and to promote a widespread intelligent driving experience.
This upcoming event marks another significant milestone for BYD's smart technology initiatives, following the launch of its "Integrated Vehicle Intelligence Strategy" at the BYD Dream Day event on January 16, 2024.
According to BYD, the Integrated Vehicle Intelligence leverages the XUANJI intelligent architecture to seamlessly integrate electrification and smart technology, making driving safer, more efficient, and more personalized. The system breaks down barriers between different vehicle modules to capture and process internal and external environmental changes in milliseconds. It then channels this data into a central "brain" for rapid decision-making, significantly enhancing ride safety and comfort. Additionally, the Integrated Vehicle Intelligence enables extensive personalization, adapting the driving experience to individual preferences.
The XUANJI Architecture is a vehicular intelligent architecture that serves as both the brain and neural network of the vehicle, enabling an efficient blend of electrification and intelligence. This system seamlessly perceives changes in the internal and external environment of the car in real-time. It consolidates information at millisecond level and feeds it back to the central "brain" for rapid decision-making. This system swiftly adjusts the state of the vehicle, significantly enhancing driving safety and comfort.
Moreover, BYD said it had pioneered a dual-cycle multimodal AI—the XUANJI AI large model, which is built on an immense data foundation and computing power, covers over 300 driving scenarios, enabling the continuous evolution of vehicle intelligence.
In addition, BYD introduced the e4 parking system, which integrates the e4 technology with intelligent parking function. Utilizing the precise and stable control of its four electric motors, the system automatically executes precise rotational maneuvers, ensuring flawless parking even in the most challenging spaces.
In an interview conducted in last August, BYD Vice President and Director of the New Automotive Technologies Research Institute, Yang Dongsheng, revealed that the company's intelligent driving team now exceeds 5,000 members, including over 1,000 experts dedicated to core algorithm.
Mr. Yang also disclosed that BYD plans to equip its mid- to low-end vehicle models with the advanced intelligent driving system within two years. Following market research, the company intends to compress its high-end intelligent driving features into an integrated solution for more affordable models.
