Changan Automobile posts 1.66% YoY dip in Jan. 2025 sales

Chinese automaker Chongqing Changan Automobile Co., Ltd. (Changan Automobile) reported on February 5 its monthly sales performance in the first month of 2025.

Beijing (Gasgoo)- Chinese automaker Chongqing Changan Automobile Co., Ltd. ("Changan Automobile") reported on February 5 its monthly sales performance in the first month of 2025. In January, the automaker sold 275,700 vehicles in total, representing a slight 1.66% dip year-on-year.

In the month, Changan Automobile's wholly-owned brands sold 240,972 vehicles. Among which, 193,048 units were passenger vehicles. In the meantime, the company's oversea sales amounted to 62,016 units.

In the same month, Changan Automobile sold 67,487 new energy vehicles. Among Changan Automobile's major new energy vehicle brands, DEEPAL delivered 24,575 vehicles in January. The AVATR brand logged deliveries of 8,826 units, while the NEVO range posted monthly sales of 10,816 units.

As to Changan Automobile's joint venture brands, Changan Ford recorded a 16.44% year-on-year drop in January sales, which stood at 17,512 units. At the same time, Changan Mazda saw its monthly sales tumble 28.28% from the year-ago period to 6,604 units.
