In January 2025, SGMW's new energy vehicle sales surged to 55,413 units, up 58.9% from the previous year, underscoring the company's strong momentum in the NEV sector.

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On February 6, SAIC-GM-Wuling ("SGMW") released its January 2025 sales data, reporting a global total of 106,818 vehicles—an 18.2% increase year-on-year. Notably, new energy vehicle (NEV) sales surged to 55,413 units, up 58.9% from the previous year, underscoring the company's strong momentum in the NEV sector.

Among its brands and product ranges, the Wuling Silver Badge achieved notable results with 49,909 units sold in January, marking a 24.7% year-on-year jump.

In terms of specific models, the Hongguang MINIEV family recorded January sales of 24,924 units—a 106.2% spike year-on-year. The Bingo family reached 15,132 units in monthly sales, up 79.7% over a year earlier, while the Xingguang family recorded sales of 5,102 vehicles during the month.

January also marked a significant milestone as SGMW rolled off its 30 millionth vehicle. NEVs have played a pivotal role in the company’s transformation, with cumulative NEV sales surpassing 2.4 million units by the end of 2024. In that year alone, 800,000 NEVs were sold—accounting for over 50% of total sales and a 63% year-on-year hike. Strong growth in overseas markets has also contributed to this milestone. In 2024, the company exported 225,000 units/sets, reaching a cumulative export total of 1.158 million units/sets.

Additionally, on January 6 this year, SGMW signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Mansour Group and ASAKA Motors for the business development in Uzbekistan market, marking its official entry into Central Asia.
