Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Chinese smart electric vehicle company XPeng Inc. ("XPENG" or "the company") delivered 30,350 vehicles in January 2025, representing a 268% spike year-over-year, surpassing 30,000 units for the third consecutive month.

As of January 2025, the XPENG MONA M03 model had recorded monthly deliveries of over 15,000 units for two consecutive months. Meanwhile, the XPENG P7+ had reached 20,000 units of cumulative deliveries within just two months of market launch.

The company said its XNGP (XPENG navigation guided pilot)'s monthly active user penetration rate in urban driving reached 87% in January 2025. At the same time, XPENG rolled out its latest in-car operating system version, the AI Tianji 5.5.0, introducing "door-to-door" ADAS and other advanced smart driving features, such as the coach vehicle recognition with bypassing capability, to eligible customers across China. The update brings a seamless smart driving experience to owners across multiple scenarios, including parking, highways and urban roads.

XPENG achieved several significant milestones last month. The company unveiled the right-hand drive version of its X9 MPV at the Singapore Motor Show, marking the vehicle's global debut. In the same period, XPENG strengthened its international presence by entering the markets of Belgium, Luxembourg, Ireland, and Finland.

On January 6, XPENG and Volkswagen Group China announced a strategic partnership in the field of super-fast charging networks with a memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed on spot. Under the MoU, the duo will grant each other access to their proprietary super-fast charging networks.

[SMM Analysis] South Korea's NEV Exports Drop in August, but Cumulative Growth Persists Despite Production Disruptions
Korea’s NEV exports fell sharply in August amid fewer working days and production disruptions, but the YoY decline of 16.4% was milder than the 26.9% drop in total auto exports. Cumulative Jan-Aug NEV exports still rose 21.2%, while BEV exports were relatively resilient. The key focus is whether exports recover as production normalizes from September.
