[SMM Silicon Daily Review: Post-Holiday Silicon Metal Market Transactions Remain Sparse] Silicon metal prices in east China remained stable. Standard #553 silicon metal in east China was at 10,600-10,700 yuan/mt, above-standard #553 silicon metal at 10,800-10,900 yuan/mt, and #421 silicon metal at 11,500-11,700 yuan/mt.

SMM, February 5: Silicon metal prices in east China remained stable. Standard #553 silicon metal in east China was priced at 10,600-10,700 yuan/mt, above-standard #553 silicon metal at 10,800-10,900 yuan/mt, and #421 silicon metal at 11,500-11,700 yuan/mt. On the first working day after the Chinese New Year, inquiries in the silicon metal market showed some recovery, but actual transactions remained moderate. Most manufacturers reported few new orders today, with the focus still on fulfilling pre-holiday orders. Silicon metal prices remained stable, with slight price increases reported for spot cargoes at some silicon plants in north China today, though no actual transactions were recorded.
