According to Xiamen Torch High-Tech Zone, on February 5, the high-performance lithium battery project of CALB (03931.hk) in Xiamen, Fujian officially commenced construction.

It is reported that the total investment of this project is 15 billion yuan, with a planned capacity of 30GWh. Upon completion, CALB's Xiamen base is expected to become a green, modern, and intelligent benchmark base for new energy with an annual capacity of 60GWh.

Data from the China Automotive Power Battery Industry Innovation Alliance shows that in 2024, China's cumulative power battery installations reached 548.4GWh, up 41.5% YoY. Among them, CALB's power battery installations reached 36.48GWh, accounting for 6.68%.

Battery Network noted that recently, at CALB's 2024 annual summary and commendation conference, it was mentioned that in 2024, CALB's single-month installations exceeded 10GWh, setting a new record. The ESS market grew rapidly, and key technology and application projects won the "National Science and Technology Progress Award." The company also made comprehensive advancements in the commercial and marine markets, while its leading technologies and products for all-scenario applications continued to empower the industry's development.
