According to CMOC, TFM has embarked on the new journey of the Year of the Snake with a vigorous start, treating the beginning as a decisive battle. As of January 31, TFM's January ore processing volume reached 103.46% of the plan, while copper and cobalt production achieved 104.20% and 123.80% of the plan, respectively, successfully marking a strong start to production in the first month of 2025.

According to CMOC, TFM has embarked on the Year of the Snake with vigor, starting strong and aiming high. As of January 31, TFM's monthly ore processing volume reached 103.46% of the plan, while copper and cobalt production achieved 104.20% and 123.80% of the plan, respectively, marking a successful start to 2025 with a "good beginning" in production.

Since the beginning of this year, TFM has further shifted its mindset, assigned responsibilities to individuals, and focused on "stable and over-target production, quality improvement and efficiency creation, cost reduction and efficiency enhancement" as its main work themes. It has strengthened production organization and management while adhering to safety standards to achieve its annual goals.

The East Zone has laid a solid foundation with a focus on "practicality," leveraging the advantages of the new production line at the concentrator and smelting plant, enhancing production organization, strictly managing safety, and fully unleashing capacity. Measures include optimizing the equipment management structure by assigning maintenance personnel to individual plants, enhancing equipment inspections and maintenance, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring production equipment remains in good condition; strengthening process control in ore dressing to continuously improve flotation indicators; and enhancing tank management in the smelting plant to improve current efficiency, product output, and quality. In the first month of the year, the East Zone exceeded production targets, achieving 106.89%, 104.54%, and 122.28% of the planned ore processing volume, copper cathode production, and cobalt hydroxide production, respectively.

The Central Zone tackled challenges with a focus on "breaking barriers," eliminating management obstacles, adding a 15-member Chinese technical team to promote integration between Chinese and Congolese teams. Efforts included stabilizing and optimizing production processes, addressing production challenges, abolishing the dispatch center and equipment management department to delegate authority to the front line, refining ore supply and distribution management across three production lines, optimizing power load allocation for production, and coordinating sulfur concentrate transfers between the Central and East Zones to ensure continuous, stable, and efficient operation of the concentrator and smelting systems. Monthly overhauls of grinding equipment were organized to ensure high throughput, while extraction and electrodeposition systems were cleaned to improve copper transfer efficiency in the extraction system and current efficiency in the electrodeposition system. These efforts resulted in ore processing volume, copper cathode production, and cobalt hydroxide production exceeding plans by 0.61%, 3.86%, and 24.71%, respectively.

Currently, TFM ranks among the world's top five copper mines, with five production lines and an annual copper production capacity exceeding 450,000 mt. Moving forward, TFM is expected to continue its efforts, ensuring daily targets secure ten-day targets, ten-day targets secure monthly targets, monthly targets secure quarterly targets, and quarterly targets secure annual goals, striving to achieve all objectives for the year.
