According to market feedback, steel mills in north China, faced with high production costs, were reluctant to take low-priced export billet orders and generally quoted higher prices, while a few steel mills and traders in south China offered discounts, widening the price gap between north and south China for exported billet.

[Molybdenum News] SMM, September 3: A Yunnan mine sold 96 mt of Mo42.5% molybdenum concentrates (copper content within 2%) via tender, with a transaction price of 5,380 yuan/mtu and a base price of 5,300 yuan/mtu. The price is based on a Mo42.5% grade, with a price spread adjustment of 5 yuan/mtu for each 1% grade change on a pro-rata basis; other impurities are unrestricted, not priced, and not subject to deductions. At final settlement, no deduction applies if Cu impurity is less than or equal to 2%; if Cu impurity exceeds 2%, a deduction of 10 yuan/mtu applies.
