Rare Earth Oxides

Prices: The mainstream quotation range for Pr-Nd oxide was 415,000-417,000 yuan/mt; the transaction range for dysprosium oxide was around 1.67-1.69 million yuan/mt, and terbium oxide quotations were approximately 5.92-5.96 million yuan/mt.

Supply and Demand: Today, most suppliers exhibited a strong wait-and-see sentiment, with low activity in market quotations and inquiries. Rare earth oxide prices showed no significant changes.

Rare Earth Metals

Prices: The mainstream quotation for Pr-Nd alloy was approximately 508,000-515,000 yuan/mt, dysprosium-iron prices corresponding to oxide quotations were around 1.6-1.63 million yuan/mt, and terbium metal quotations were about 7.4-7.43 million yuan/mt.

Supply and Demand: The market departments of rare earth metal factories have just resumed operations. Market quotations were quiet, with most producers primarily observing post-holiday changes and showing low enthusiasm for active quoting.

Magnetic Materials

Prices: NdFeB blank prices were as follows: NdFeB blank N38 (Ce) closed at 133-143 yuan/kg; NdFeB blank 40M closed at 179-189 yuan/kg; NdFeB blank 40H closed at 183-193 yuan/kg; NdFeB blank 45SH (Ce) closed at 233-253 yuan/kg.

Supply and Demand: After the holiday, some magnetic material factories have resumed production, but as not all workers have returned, overall capacity has not yet reached normal levels. Market trading activity remains low.

NdFeB Scrap

US DLA Contracts REalloys for Rare Earth Metals Plant to Boost Domestic Production and Supply Chain Security
The US Defense Logistics Agency signed a contract with rare earth producer REalloys to support the development of next-generation thermal reduction technology for samarium and gadolinium metals. The core of the effort is to build a plant with an annual capacity of 300 mt to reduce mixed samarium–europium–gadolinium concentrates into high-purity metals. At present, the US has no commercial production of either metal and is heavily reliant on overseas supply. REalloys said its process can cut costs by 50% and has been patented. The move aims to establish domestic capacity and strengthen national defense supply chain security.
