In November, China's new energy vehicle (NEV) sector achieved a historic milestone, with annual NEV sales surpassing 10 million units for the first time. Notably, the 10 millionth vehicle was Dongfeng Motor's VOYAH COURAGE, cementing its place in this landmark achievement.
Dongfeng Motor delivered an outstanding performance throughout 2024, achieving its first positive sales growth in years. The company sold 2.48 million vehicles in the past year, up 2.5% year-on-year, while retail sales reached 2.56 million units, marking a 4.8% increase.
Operating efficiency also saw significant improvement. As the second year of Dongfeng Motor's "Three-Year Transformation and Upgrade Action," 2024 demonstrated the company's progress in strategic upgrades across its "4+2" business layout and "1+n" R&D system, with strong advancements in passenger vehicles, commercial vehicles, and components sectors.
"Looking ahead to 2025, we are determined to break through and forge ahead." This declaration in Dongfeng Motor's 2025 New Year address signifies that, after years of preparation, the company is now ready to shift into an aggressive growth mode.
