On January 26, Chinese automaker SERES Group signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with Beihang University, the automaker announced on the same day.

Beijing (Gasgoo)- On January 26, Chinese automaker SERES Group signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with Beihang University, the automaker announced on the same day.

Under the agreement, both parties will collaborate on foundational research and product development in emerging industries. The partnership aims to strengthen industry-academia-research integration and promote the establishment of organized research platforms to explore innovative fields. Joint research on scientific projects and the development of professional talent will be prioritized to provide long-term support for the collaboration.  

Leveraging their respective expertise in industrial and technological fields, SERES and Beihang University will focus on complementary strengths and shared resources. The partnership is expected to accelerate technological innovation and the transformation of research achievements, supporting advancements in industrial upgrading and innovation-driven growth.  

On January 21, SERES announced its 2024 financial forecast, expecting revenues to surge by over 300% year-on-year to reach 144.2 billion to 146.7 billion yuan. The automaker anticipates a net profit of 5.5 billion to 6 billion yuan, marking a significant recovery after four years of cumulative losses totaling 9.835 billion yuan.
