Indonesia Amman Copper Smelter Project Achieves Historic Milestone in Trial Production

At 9:16 a.m. on January 16, 2025, the Indonesia Amman Copper Smelter Project reached a historic milestone. With copper concentrates successfully fed into the flash smelting furnace reaction tower, slag tapping and copper tapping were completed smoothly, marking the successful completion of the project's trial production. The achievement of this significant period fully demonstrates the outstanding capabilities of China Nonferrous Metal Industry's Foreign Engineering and Construction Co., Ltd. (NFC) in the international engineering field, laying a solid foundation for further promoting win-win cooperation between the two parties. Since the project's inception, the leaders of China Nonferrous Metal Mining Group and NFC have attached great importance to it, conducting multiple on-site surveys. During the construction and trial production preparation phases, the entire project team faced multiple challenges, including rainy season construction and tight schedules. They actively demonstrated a spirit of overcoming difficulties, strictly implemented the engineering management requirements of "safety first, quality foremost," and steadily advanced key tasks. The main mechanical construction was completed in just 18 months, and trial production was achieved within 26 months.
