Shanghai (Gagsoo)- The DENZA, a premium electric vehicle brand under BYD, announced on January 20 that deliveries of its DENGZA Z9GT sedan have already reached 10,000 units.
Hitting the market in September last year, the Z9GT was available in 7 trim levels, with prices ranging from 334,800 yuan to 414,800 yuan.
The Z9GT adopts DENZA's new design philosophy, "Elegance in Motion," crafted by BYD's global design director Wolfgang Josef Egger. Its exterior features a GT sports car look with a corona-styled front fascia and sleek headlights. In addition, the front end includes dual LiDAR units, millimeter-wave radar, and parking sensors.
The Z9GT offers hidden door handles, frameless and soft-close doors, and large wheels complemented by yellow brake calipers. The rear end is highlighted by slim taillights and an active spoiler.
Inside, the Z9 GT showcases a symmetrical and wraparound layout, with 128-color ambient lighting and extensive soft-touch materials. The cabin features three screens: a floating central touchscreen, a full liquid crystal instrument cluster, and an entertainment screen for the front passenger. The Z9 GT comes with DENDA's Link intelligent connectivity system, offering features such as navigation, entertainment, and voice control. The model is equipped with a head-up display and an electronic rearview mirror display.
Measuring 5,180 mm in length, 1,990 mm in width, and 1,500 mm in height with a wheelbase of 3,125 mm, the Z9GT exudes a sleek shooting-brake silhouette, showing its sporty aesthetic.
Performance-wise, the Z9 GT is available in both BEV (battery electric vehicle) and PHEV (plug-in hybrid electric vehicle) variants. The BEV version is powered by a three-motor system delivering a combined output of 710 kW and a peak torque of 1,150 Nm. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in around 3 seconds and offers a range of 630 km. The PHEV variant comes equipped with a 2.0T engine and an electric motor delivering a combined output of 640 kW. It boasts a range of 201 km on battery power alone.
