Ford Ranger FX4 Sand Fox Special Edition hits Chinese market, starting at 285,800 yuan

On January 15, the Ford Ranger FX4 Sand Fox Special Edition hit the Chinese market. The new model is available in two variants, with prices ranging from 285,800 yuan to 289,800 yuan.

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On January 15, the Ford Ranger FX4 Sand Fox Special Edition hit the Chinese market. The new model is available in two variants, with prices ranging from 285,800 yuan to 289,800 yuan.

As for the exterior, the Ford Ranger FX4 Sand Fox Special Edition offers an exclusive body color: Cliff Gray. The vehicle is equipped with beadlock wheels and off-road tires. Additionally, it features a wading snorkel, a front winch, and metal side pedals.

The side profile of the Ranger FX4 Sand Fox Special Edition displays a typical pickup design, with a double cab and a rear cargo box. The model adopts blacked-out door handles and external mirrors, with mounted wheel arches and side skirt panels, emphasizing its powerful stance.

As for size, the vehicle measures 5,370mm in length, 1,918mm in width, and 1,880mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,270mm.

At the rear, the new vehicle features vertically arranged tail lamps, a robust bumper, and a hidden exhaust pipe. Measuring 1,458mm long, 1,584mm wide, and 529mm tall, the cargo bed is equipped with a 220V power outlet and a movable tailgate. 

Inside, the new vehicle adopts a T-shaped layout with multiple yellow accents. It comes equipped with a 12.3-inch embedded full liquid crystal instrument cluster and a 12.1-inch central touchscreen powered by the latest SYNC 4 infotainment system. The model also supports CarPlay and voice control features.

Under the hood, the Ford Ranger FX4 Sand Fox Edition is available with two engine options.The gasoline-powered version offers a 2.3T engine which delivers a maximum output of 190kW and a peak torque of 450Nm, paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. The diesel-fueled version features a 2.3T engine delivering a maximum output of 137kW and a peak torque of 470Nm, mated with an 8-speed automatic transmission. The vehicle also includes FOX’s nitrogen shock absorbers, a Watts link rear suspension, and adjustable damping.
