SAIC Motor PV, Meituan team up on branding, new retail model development

On January 20, SAIC Motor Passenger Vehicle Company (SAIC Motor PV) officially announced a strategic partnership with Meituan, China's leading local life services and retail platform.

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On January 20, SAIC Motor Passenger Vehicle Company ("SAIC Motor PV") officially announced a strategic partnership with Meituan, China's leading local life services and retail platform. This collaboration aims to leverage the strengths and resources of both companies to unlock market potential and build an integrated ecosystem for automotive business, delivering enhanced services to users, merchants, dealers, and employees.

Under the partnership, SAIC Motor PV's dealership stores will join the Meituan platform, enabling seamless online-to-offline integration. Meituan will provide onboarding support, technical services, and a suite of value-added tools, including AI-powered livestreaming, store design guidance, order management, customer feedback analysis, and data-driven insights, to enhance the dealerships' online operations and improve customer reach.

In addition, SAIC Motor PV will leverage Meituan's digital marketing resources to conduct targeted online campaigns, providing users with a more efficient and convenient car-buying experience.

The two companies also plan to explore innovative new retail models, piloting a complete e-commerce solution for vehicle sales on the Meituan platform to meet customer demands with greater flexibility.

On the after-sales front, SAIC Motor PV's service offerings will also be available on Meituan, allowing users to access and review post-sale services directly through the platform, driving continuous service quality improvement.

By joining forces, the two companies aim to redefine automotive retail and inject fresh momentum into the innovation and development of China’s automotive industry.

SAIC Motor PV brings its deep technical expertise, diverse product portfolio, and comprehensive marketing network, while Meituan contributes its advanced digital technology, extensive user base, and wide-ranging local service scenarios. This comprehensive partnership marks a pivotal step for the two parties in advancing brand marketing and exploring new retail models.
