Beijing (Gasgoo)- According to a post on one of Bosch's WeChat accounts, as of December 2024, the company's intelligent cockpit platform product shipments have surpassed 2 million sets in China. This achievement comes just a year after Bosch crossed the 1-million-set shipment mark in 2023, highlighting its rapid growth trajectory.

First unveiled globally in April 2021, Bosch's intelligent cockpit platform, powered by the Qualcomm SA8155P chip, achieved mass production within just 11 months. Over the past three years, Bosch has expanded its lineup with the Supreme Edition ("Zhizun" in Chinese pinyin), based on the Qualcomm SA8295P chip, and the Upgraded Edition ("Shengji" in Chinese pinyin), which features the Qualcomm SA8255P chip, offering a comprehensive range of mid-to-high-end cockpit solutions.

At the Auto China 2024 in Beijing, Bosch showcased its Supreme Edition cockpit platform, boasting a CPU performance of 220k DMIPS and NPU capability of 20-30 TOPS. This model entered mass production in 2024.

In April 2024, Bosch announced the Upgraded Edition secured a project with a leading international automaker, marking the product first application. Slated for mass production in the second quarter of 2025, vehicles equipped with this platform will feature overhead displays, dual front screens, gaming console support, three Bluetooth connections, six-zone voice recognition, and integrated Automatic Parking Assist (APA).

To date, Bosch has over 100 smart cockpit-related projects in production or development, collaborating with major Chinese domestic auto brands, global automakers, major new energy vehicle startups, and joint ventures, helping over 20 models from five leading China's self-owned brands enter global markets.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
